Quick Update

We are staying pretty busy around here.  Doing what, I don't know....but busy nonetheless.
We did have visitors this past week and had fun with Steven's sister, husband, and kids.  I was able to show them around Fairhope the first day--which doesn't take long because the town is so small.  We walked on the Fairhope Pier and hung out at the house while Steven was working that afternoon/night. 

The next day Kelly wanted to take the boys to see the USS Alabama in Mobile for a little field trip so we headed to the battleship that morning.  Steven was off that day so it was fun to have everyone around.  Besides the fact that it was HOT HOT HOT we enjoyed the trip and little history lesson.
  I only managed to take my camera out that morning at the battleship so here are a few pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Isaac was scared the first ten minutes or so (which isn't uncommon for his little personality) so Steven carried him throughout the ship. 

Steven would usually carry Isaac down the steep ladder steps (and there was probably 4 lower sections of the ship) and Ryan would carry Savannah.  This preggo lady couldn't carry anyone.

Eventually he warmed up to the place and kept saying, "Mommy this kinda looks like the inside of a clock."  Hah. I'm not sure where he got that idea from but apparently the inside of a clock looks a lot like the inside of a battleship to a three year old.

After the inside walk-through we enjoyed the outside tour.  But good gracious was it hot out there!!  Did I mention that??

And of course I couldn't pass up the chance at getting a picture with Kelly in all my sweaty preggo belly glory.

I'm 28 weeks and feelin' like it.

We had a great morning and fun time with the cousins.
Savannah was even sad to leave.  See...

The Lake

Surprise! I'm back.


Here are the pictures from our time at the lake, as promised.
We had a wonderfully relaxing time, not to mention it was oh so nice having meals prepared for us at night from Steven's mom.  Thank you CC!

Savannah girl spent most of her time on the porch, swinging or getting into who knows what.
This girl is a constant mover so it's often nice to have her trapped in a swing.

Isaac preferred staying in the cool water.  With 90 degree heat who can blame him.

Baby Girl's mullet continues to grow ever so mullet-ish these days.

But at least hair is growing, right?

And who cares if we sometimes look like we have hair from an 80's rock band?

I'm sure brother could always teach her some 80's rock band signature moves...

There was plenty of playing in the sandbox...

Plenty of sand snacking...

Plenty of sand digging...

Plenty of sand walking...

PLENTY of model/acting practice...

And plenty of onlookers...

Mommy (a.k.a. me) even made a few pictures this go around.  See kids!  I told you I existed in your early years.

I was even able to take Savannah Banana on her first ever seadoo ride (which made her Daddy super nervous).

But no worries.  I had her all bundled up like the Michelin man.

Isaac reminded me to drive "vewy vewy swoly."

I'm glad he looks after his sister with such great enthusiasm.

As always we had a great time!

Now we are back in the swing of things and continuing to get settled.
Update on the roach problem: it hasn't been that bad honestly.  SO thankful.  My dad tells me I'm not seeing them anymore because they're all meeting together in my walls thinking of new brilliant ways to make a comback.  Hmmm...let's hope not.
Plus, on the up side I've never kept my kitchen so clean in all our married life.  Steven told me that if he would have known this years ago he would have set an army of roaches lose on our old house just to light the fire under me. :)  Funny honey.  Real funny.

The people here have been so friendly and made us feel right at home--a huge blessing.  Steven is enjoying his job and I'm enjoying the hours.  Isaac starts mother's day out the middle of August so I know he will enjoy that and meeting boys his age very soon.
As you know from my previous post, Savannah is walking and improving daily.  She still likes to crawl but we see that only walking is in her near future.
Baby Girl is doing good inside my belly and kicking away.  I think I'm 27 weeks now--I honestly don't know.  Isn't that terrible!?  We still don't have a name (no surprise there) but will hopefully be narrowing down our options very soon.  I go to the OB tomorrow and meet my new doctor for the first time.
It's HARD to believe we will have a third addition in THREE months.
Makes me overwhelmed just thinking about it...
But of course, INCREDIBLY thankful.

This has been my daily reminder this summer...I Thess. 5:16-18  "Be joyful always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."


If only I could remember that all the time life on earth would be a lot easier.
