One of my best friends from college was married this past weekend. Julie was a stunning bride and the entire weekend was beautiful. From the bridesmaid's luncheon to the reception, there was never a dull moment. I brought the camera along on my bridesmaid duties, taking it out everytime I remembered. Which wasn't as often as I should have but nevertheless got some sweet shots of the memories.
So without further ado, here is the bride herself.

We enjoyed a nice bridesmaid's luncheon at the Botanical gardens on Friday.

Julie and I were sorority sisters together and actually the first sorority sister I ever met at Alabama. I can still remember the day we met. I walked into one of my first classes as a freshman, nervous of course, and sat right in front of this pretty, tall, blonde girl. I can't remember if I was the first one to say something or not but we immediately hit it off while walking back to Tutwiler together.

And Julie with her sorority sisters. Nutty sorority sisters I might add. We three lived together our Junior year and there were many amusing moments. One being Julie's alter ego Julia. Julia would come out every Christmas season singing "Happy Holidays" while flailing her leg in the air. Had to be there I guess. Just trust me. It was funny.
I came home from the bridesmaid's luncheon to a wonderful surprise. Steven's mom, CC, had cleaned and mopped my floors and washed all our clothes. It was great!
Unfortunately I never took the camera out at the rehearsal dinner. Maybe it was the fact that Steven and I were on a date night with no children that made me forget. :) So here's a picture of the sweet couple instead.
Funny thing is Josh actually went to Alabama with us and was in our same year....but their paths never crossed our entire four years. However, Josh's parents and Julie's parents have been friends for years and were even in eachother's weddings. How cute is that! So Josh sees Julie at a Barnes and Noble a little over a year ago, talk for a while, and he calls her soon after. The rest of course is history.
On the wedding day Julie was calm as a cucumber.
Not to mention had some beatiful long locks..
Everything went off with a bang and ended as a perfect evening. I couldn't be happier for my sweet friend. And Josh just got a new job as the assistant to the attorney general, Luther Strange. Josh was known as the "future govna" throughout the rehearsal dinner by many of his groomsmen so maybe we'll see Julie in the govna mansion one day.
But in all seriousness it's been so thrilling to sit back watch what God has done in each of my friend's lives in regards to marriage...and what He is going to do too!

Oh, I almost forgot to mention! There is someone else who enjoyed the wedding festivities as well....
I was so tired last night that I left my bridesmaid shoes in the living room.

Oh dear. Steven is going to kill me.
It looks like he AND Savannah didn't think it was as amusing as me........
Oh well.
