Savannah's birthday

Yes, its true.  We still exist.

Despite my long absence from the blogging world and the fact that I have so much catching up to do (it's not even funny), I couldn't go without celebrating this girl and her 2nd birthday.

It's hard to believe that I had our Savannah Banana exactly two years ago this past June 1st, but as life continuously shows me, it goes by much too fast.

We celebrated Savannah one Friday evening at one of our favorite parks here.

I had a little helper come with me before the party to help decorate.

Oh this boy cracks me up constantly.

I made taziki's friday special for her party...a tradition now I suppose.  We had it catered for Savannah's first birthday in Birmingham and I had to resort to making it myself this time.  Thankfully it turned out pretty yummy, if I do say so myself.

I continued with the strawberry theme from her memorial day party because it is summer after all.  I made strawberry cupcakes for our birthday girl.

As you can see, she greatly approved.

We enjoyed our time with friends and there were children scattered like ants running throughout the park.

We continue to be amazed and thankful for the friendships we have made here in Fairhope.  OF COURSE we miss our "other" friends but as we discussed in our community group the other night...the Lord is good to bring different friends into your life at different seasons.  It doesn't mean that this friend group is better than our old...it's just different.  And we rejoice in the way He provides for our every need at every stage in life.

Savannah should have a big group of girlfriends while growing up.  All of these girls will be in the same grade together.  Hopefully there won't be too much drama!

And that's not even all of them!

We are SO THANKFUL for this two year old!  She has brought so much joy to our lives with her dimpled grin and sweet spirit.  I always think back on the day of her birth as one of the hardest, yet wonderful days of my life.  The Lord taught us so much in that short period of time (just 20 hours or so) but I know it changed us for the better and taught us that no matter what happens in life that God is good and His sovereign ways are perfect.

We LOVE YOU SAVANNAH!!!  Happy 2nd birthday!

It's me!

Happy Summer to you.

I've been on a hiatus you might say.  No reason at all besides the fact that I'm trying to keep my head above water daily with these three active kiddos.

So, where do I even begin?  A lack of blogging has created more trouble for me I'm afraid and I'll try my best to catch you up to speed.

Whew, this summer has been a busy one so here's a few snapshots into our past couple of months.

Memorial Day seems like a good place to start so we'll start there.

We celebrated the May holiday at the lake and got to meet the newest addition to the Sprayberry family, our precious niece Hannah Ryan Akers.

She arrived in the States just three week earlier so I'm sure must have been a little overwhelmed with all of us...although if she was, she hid it well.

We celebrated Savannah and Hannah Ryan's birthday all together, Savannah turning two on June 1st and HR on June 9th.  A strawberry theme was the order of the day...

Complete with strawberry smocked dresses...

Strawberry shortcake balloons...

...that the girls were enthralled with...

And a delicious strawberry cake from, where else, but Ashley Macs!

We celebrated with plenty of friends and family as you can see...

And Savannah enjoyed her many new gifts, especially her new high heels.

You better believe Pop Pop wouldn't miss an event without his ipad camera.  He's famous around these parts with that thing. ;)

My mom has finally convinced him to get an iphone...well, not really convinced, just bought it for him when he wasn't looking.  I predict he'll be on instragram in no time.

After the festivities we stayed a few extra days to enjoy the lake and family.  As always, we had a fun filled time.

Oh look!  Did someone see a ghost?!!...

Nope.  That's just the hubs jumping into the water.  To say he needs a tan would be an understatement.;)

Isaac FINALLY jumped off a high ledge for the first time.  Yes, he's a scaredy cat.  We won't tell him I said that though...makes him less brave you see.

I tried to get a picture with my little buddy and prove to him when he's thirty that I was there...but he wasn't having it.

Last but not least, Papa Spray and his skipper.

And there you have it.  I finally blogged!  I'll update with more summer fun soon...
