Life

Hey YOU!

Yes, I'm talking to you...you beautiful blog friends, you.  I hope things are well in your neck of the screen.
We are trekking right through March and now onto April, keeping ourselves busy as usual.

We still like to stick bunny's mangled foot in our eye...

We still enjoy swinging in the back yard.

We still play with cars like it's nobody's business...

We take baths when we're stinky...

And eat ice cream sandwiches every night...

hmmm...okay maybe not "we"...but maybe just ME.  And I may or may not have more than one a day...

I think that pretty much wraps it up.

Oh wait, what's that Isaac?

You want more?

Well, okay I'll tell them more.

Yes, we've been doing very well.
I'm 30 weeks pregnant as of yesterday

We traveled to the ER last night for Steven to do an ultra sound on a friend of our's who is also pregnant.

Paging Dr. McDreamy...

Here is Dr. McDreamy doing an ultra sound.

Isaac was as good as gold.  It was pretty late so the paci (or "Pa Pass" as he calls it) was out in full force keeping this two year old quite calm

That is until he began to chew on his paci like a cigar and throw his stroller around...

McDreamy also did an ultra sound on his McLarge wife.  He was ever so careful not to look at anything but the head.

I know, I know.  Sorry for blowing up a giant picture of my white preggo belly. :)

Before the evening was over a family picture was called for.  We don't get these much.

Okay.  So now I think that wraps it up for the blogging today.

What's that Isaac?

Oh, he's saying he doesn't want you to leave.

Don't worry little buddy, we will be back sooner than you can say... "stick a bunny in your eye."

Spring break at the Lake

We enjoyed a relaxing three days at Lake Martin this past week with the Sprayberry bunch.  Steven had to work two of the days so we were glad when Daddy came back to join us!

This little guy was a lot more active than I remember him being this time last year at the lake.  He is talking a lot more, and of course enjoyed many of his favorite past times.  Like swinging outside.

I think CC had just as much fun as Isaac.

We ate like Kings and my pregnancy belly (and butt) can prove it.

I love this profile shot of little buddy.  I could just kiss those cheeks right off...

Most hours of the day you could find Isaac right here.  Running up and down the porch with cousin Hudson.  They are like the energizer bunny together--they keep going, and going, and going...

Papa Spray made a bon fire for us one morning and we licked up s'mores and marshmallows before lunch. :)  Yummy

Papa Spray (or Poppy as Isaac calls him right now)

He LOVED to throw sticks into the fire.

The men chatting about March Madness, Alabama football, and who knows what else in the background. :)

Isaac enjoyed the taste of his first s'more.  Who wouldn't.

But honestly preferred just a plain chocolate bar instead.

Isaac with cousin Rowen.

Isaac having fun with Hudson.

To work off the chocolate we made Isaac do pull ups...

After nap time we spent most of our time in the sandbox or the porch.  We couldn't have asked for more beautiful weather!!

We loved our visit from Aunt Katie (DD) for the afternoon.

And at night, when Isaac was busy taking his bath, the older boys spent time fishing on the pier.

Rowen loved showing off the fresh catch.

And last but not least, here is a picture that I took of the fishing men.  This picture makes me laugh so hard.  The way everyone is standing so perfectly and the way the night sky is so black in the background makes it almost look like a picture straight out of Olan Mill's studio.  Maybe I can put it on "akward family photos"...

If your not watching him...

he's sure to end up in the dog house.

This is what I found when I went to check on him outside.  The stinker.
I laughed and quickly grabbed the camera.

Then I say.  "Umm..is it really stinky in there buddy?  Last time I checked it smelled like a dog's butt." ( there's no other way to describe it really)

He didn't seem to mind.

Speaking of nasty bottoms...

I just wish I would have gotten a picture about three minutes later.  I brought him inside to eat lunch and he grabs the backdoor like lightning and bolts out of there--you guessed it, straight into the dog house.  I walked away to get something in our room and heard him suddenly start crying.  The kind of cry where you know they are in trouble.  Well, me being the wonderful mother that I am just rolled my eyes for a sec and thought, "he is so dramatic."  But, I decided to slowly walk outside to see what he had done inside the doghouse....
only to see the doghouse rolled completely over with the entrance facing towards the sky.  He was flat on his back with his feet up in the air.  He didn't appreciate the laughter and I definitely didn't have time to grab the camera. :)

Well, folks we are off to the lake for the rest of the week.  Plus we are taking our computer in to get fixed this afternoon and may not have it back for a week or so.  OH, what will I do without my precious internet!!!  I guess my house will be cleaner...

Enjoy the nice weather!

The Barber Shop

I took Isaac for his second haircut today.  It began to resemble a shaggy mullet again so something had to be done.  Plus, I don't trust myself when cutting his hair and as some of you already know, the only location Steven will allow me to take him is to a Barber Shop...not a "girly salon," as he says.

It sure didn't start off with smiles...

He had the haircutting cape and sucker in his mouth all at the same time.  Terrified.

Lately, when Isaac feels shy or is unsure of something he goes straight for his hands and fingers and puts them in his mouth.  Atleast we finally got rid of the cape though...

He slowly began to warm up and even smiled for a sweet older gentleman sitting patiently waiting for his haircut.

I was proud of my boy.

So now we're back home and with a fresh new do.

Steven even thinks he resembles someone famous now.

Lloyd Christmas from Dumb and Dumber.

But I assured him it could be much worse.

He could have come back looking like this.

Yes sir e, I think I'll take Lloyd Christmas any day.

Just a cuter version...:)
