It's safe to say everyone is happy when Daddy's off from work and I've got the picture to prove it.
Our "day with Daddy" happened a few weeks ago but, like always, I haven't had a chance to sit down and post. However, you would see why if you walked into our house at the moment. I've been sick since Wednesday with a flu-like virus (we think) and now the older two have the same exact thing. Fever, chills, sore throat, and a whole lot of feeling just plain lousy. It wasn't fun, not fun at all. But you know, it's times like these that I find myself most thankful. Thankful that my kids and I don't have something worse because it can always be worse can't it. I'll tell myself that tonight when I'm up with sick babies...
Okay, so our day with daddy started with our usual morning breakfast at home. Like all days with Daddy start.
Where Isaac chatted our ears completely off...
And Savannah just sat in her seat all quiet-like, like a good little girl.
After breakfast our day involved traveling 45 minutes away to Pensacola, FL where we took in all the sights and sounds of the National Naval Aviation Museum.
It was a Monday morning so we had the place (almost) all to ourselves.
Isaac was intrigued for 45 minutes or so and then began to continually ask where the playground was.
I wanted to have record of my existence...I mean that I was there...so I kindly asked the dear hubs to take a photograph to commemorate our day out with daddy.
Isaac's face says it all.
By the looks of that last picture you would think Isaac was getting bored. I'm not sure how you think so. I mean, he hides his emotion so well.
Once we had enough walking around we found that Isaac was indeed correct when he asked about the kids playground one thousand times on our tour.
He was quickly back to smiling once again.
It really was a great place. One that Steven and I would like to go back to in the future so we can take time to read the history. Although I think we can safely presume that may be well in the future. But I definitely would be willing to go back just so the kids can play on that cute playground again.
Even the youngest of all young ins enjoyed it!
But you know what? I have a feeling she was just smiling to be on a day with daddy.
Oh, and if you are wondering why she has only a sweater and diaper on it's because of a little "episode" as we sat down for lunch. Lillian always likes to pick the best times to have a MASSIVE blow out poopy explosion. Thank goodness I brought her a sweater that morning!!! Sometimes a mom of three doesn't prepare well enough for massive poopy explosions. Imagine that.
