First off, let me begin by saying:
Happy 2 months to you Savannah Girl!!
As always, it sure is hard to believe you've been with us this long.
Here's a comparison picture of her first two months of life:
We enjoyed celebrating Itty's two month birthday at Oak Mountain State Park this morning. It was great to get outside and back into nature. However, the only downside was the HEAT!!
Steven went mountain biking for a bit and I hung out with the babes on a playground that contained a load of swings and one ginormous slide that Isaac kept begging to go down--but I didn't want him to break his neck climbing up it so that was a no go...
Thankfully this boy can stay on a swing for hours on end...
Vannah (as Isaac likes to call her) enjoyed chilling in the stroller.
I had my first "feeding of the infant" experience in the great outdoors this morning. See that picnic table over yonder? Yep, that's where I sat as bikers road by.
Would I have ever done that with Isaac? Of course not. It's amazing how modesty is thrown out the window with your second. Hey, you do what you've got to do to survive I keep telling myself.
Ahem, as I was saying.
Isaac enjoyed swinging immensely.
So much so that I wanted to capture the excitement in his little face.
Smile for the camera I say.
Oh, okay, that's great. But this time look at mommy.
Come on...look at mommy...
Isaac, Isaac, look this way. SMILE FOR MOMMY now....
And that's about all I got.
Well, at least it shows his excitement right?
Once Daddy returned from his biking adventure he could help sweaty mommy push..
And Mommy can finally get in a picture for once.
See! Phantom lady behind the camera really does exist!
We finished our swinging and headed back to the car with both children in tow.
Daddy's little helper.
Now onto the best part of Isaac's day.
Bike riding with Daddy. There's really nothing like it in his opinion.
This picture doesn't do his attitude justice but he wasn't too happy with the helmet at first. Pitched a nice little fit by taking the helmet from me and throwing it on the ground.
But he got over it.
Now onto my favorite picture of the day. Seriously. I stayed back with Savannah girl as the boys road until their hearts were content. After about five to ten minutes or so Steven glides into the parking lot and I get my camera prepared. I'm ready to take a cute shot of my little boy enjoying his ride.
And this is what I see...
Yes, that's right. Can you see where the helmet strap is?
Stuck in his mouth!
Bless his little heart. Steven had no idea. And I wasn't much help due to the uncontrollable laughter coming from my mouth.
I'm sure people thought we like to torture our children with bike helmet straps.
Oh, I'm still laughing about that one.
Well, once my laughter subsided we ended the day with a quick walk...
and a few snacks...
Whew. I'm not gonna lie. The great outdoors just isn't the same with two kiddos under 2 1/2. But thankfully we survived...I mean managed.
And had a great time doing so.
