A few days away...

Like my last post said we spent a few days away from our home and headed to the lake.  It was nice and quiet and oh so relaxing.  Well, as relaxing as it can be with an infant.  It helped tremendously having CC around to help with both kiddos, not to mention Isaac was never hurting for attention.

Isaac finally opened up to the idea of a life jacket and swimming in the water.  It helped to have his daddy around to coax him.  He also finally allowed us to take his shirt off while swimming so his baby white chest could get a little sun.

Thank goodness for the puddle jumper.  He even would swim back and forth from person to person by himself!  What a big boy...

What did Itty Bitty do while he played in the water?

Oh, she slept.

Speaking of a big boy...Steven even convinced Isaac to tube for the first time.  Despite his solemn face in the pictures, he nodded after when asked if he liked it.

What did sister do while Isaac tubed?

Funny you should ask.

She slept.

So not only did Isaac enjoy the water and the tube, but he loved to ride on the sea doo as well.  Again, his face didn't show it but we could tell he found it entertaining.

In the midst of all the fun Isaac was able to get some good acting practice in.  His fake cry face is quickly becoming an Oscar winning trait.

We had some friends visit on Monday and enjoyed a lazy day with them.  Andrew is in residency with Steven and his wife Kelly is such a sweet friend.

Itty Bitty has finally started staying awake more.  Not much mind you, but her little eyes are starting to show.  She is such a sweet baby girl and so far pretty easy.  She eats good and definitely poops good. ;)  She has been sleeping better at night after she got over her days and nights mix up.  She'll go anywhere from 3-4 hours at night.

I still can't believe she is already 3 weeks old.  Where has the time gone?  She has been such a joy to us.  Isaac has really started to take to her.  Just today when we got home he was running around the house and Savannah was in her little baby seat.  He stopped as he past by her and bent down to kiss her forehead.  Um, somebody stop my melting heart please!
